Welcome to the MCC Bowls Section, a Sporting Section of the Melbourne Cricket Club (mcc.org.au).
The section has four greens at two facilities in Hawthorn. Headquarters at Swinburne Avenue has two grass greens. The Glen Street complex has a grass green and a synthetic green. Members are able to bowl on both surfaces all year round. Excellent clubhouse facilities are provided at both locations.
The club fields seven sides in Saturday pennant and four sides in the Tuesday pennant competition as well as one Tuesday evening and two Wednesday evening pennant sides.
Whether you are an experienced bowler or a novice, we would love to hear from you.

Hello. I am a member of a grass-green club and am thinking of joining a local club with a synthetic green so I can practice/play during the off season.
Can you tell me what fees I would have to pay, what access I would have to the green and car parking availability.
Thanks
Gary Hill

Hello Gary. To use our facilities, you would have to join our Club which is the Bowls sporting section of the Melbourne Cricket Club. We have 2 facilities in Hawthorn one of which has 2 grass greens and the other having one grass plus one synthetic surface. Usually at least 1 of the grass greens is open during winter as of course is the synthetic green. Off street parking is available at both venues, however it is limited at our Glen St facility to about 12 cars. Membership is by annual fee which is approx $90 for MCC members and $270 for non members of the MCC (plus GST in both cases). Please feel free to call me on 0417 034 417 if you wish to discuss further. John Graham, Committee

Today, Thursday, I visited member Gerard Kennedy.
He is very well, looks well and happy in his care facility.
He is hoping to come to a Saturday game at Swinburne in near future
